the science of Mantrams, the Magic of the Verb; it is based on themystical powers of sounds, on the science of harmony.Fourtl Atma-Vidya or Real Wisdom of the Being, of Atmian, the Superior Monad.All of forms of Knowledge, except the fourth, are the root of all occult sciencesFrom all these forms of knowledge, of all of them except the fourth, come the Kabbalah,Chiromancy, Astrology, Occult Physiology, Scientific Cartomancy, etc., etc.From all those forms of knowledge, from all those occultist branches, science has alreadydiscovered a few secrets, but the Developed Spatial Sense is not hypnotism, and neithercan it be acquired through those arts.The present book of Esoteric Hermetic Astrology has nothing to do with the carnivalAstrology mentioned in newspapers.In this book we teach the Science of Atma-Vidya.The fundamental thing is Atma-Vidya; it includes all of them in their essential aspect andcan even use them occasionally; but it only utilizes their synthetic extracts purified of alldross.The Golden Door of Wisdom can transform itself into the wide door and broad pathwhich leads to destruction, the door of magical arts practiced with egotistical ends.We are in the Age of Kali-Yuga, the Iron Age, the Black Age and all the students ofOccultism are predisposed to becoming lost in the black path.It is astonishing to see themistaken concept held by the little brothers regarding Occultism and the ease withwhich they believe they can reach the Door and cross the Threshold of Mystery without aGreat Sacrifice.It is impossible to attain the Atma-Vidya without the Three Factors for the Revolution ofConsciousness.The Atma-Vidya is impossible without first having attained the Second Birth.The Atma-Vidya is impossible without the death of the Pluralized I.The Atma-Vidya is impossiblewithout Sacrifice for humanity.It is not the Law of Evolution that confers the Atma-Vidya upon us.It is not the Law ofInvolution that confers the Atma-Vidya upon us.It is only on the basis of tremendous andfrightening Inner Revolutions, that we arrive at the Atma-Vidya.The Path of the Revolution of Consciousness is the path of the Razor s Edge;
